The TOTAL Laboratory Airflow Control System (TOTAL LAFCS ) is an engineered guaranteed performance solution based system offered by Accu*Aire Controls, a division of Swiki Anderson and Associates, Inc. It is designed in each instance to provide total capture & containment ventilation in chemical laboratories.
The TOTAL LAFCS is guaranteed to solve the three major problems found in chemical laboratories: proper capture & containment of fugitive materials released or generated in fume hoods, precise hood, room, and supply air flow and temperature control, and energy costs associated with code compliant fume hoods .
The TOTAL LAFCS integrates Accu*Aire's designed and tested (1) vertical rising sash VAV constant face velocity fume hood, (2) sash positioning system (sPs) to guarantee automatic sash closure with no user presence; (3) use of industrial grade programmable automation controllers (PACs), sensors, and actuators to produce an "interdependent" network control solution for performance monitoring, reporting, and alarming. Accu*Aire will guarantee the performance of the TOTAL LAFCS to provided the maximum ventilation safety within the laboratory with unmatched system speed of response, flexibility, lowest first cost and lowest operating cost when included in the laboratory ventilation system design.
